VLC 3.0.17 is available thru auto-update but on Videolan site the official version is still 3.0.16.

I suppose that 3.0.17 was removed. So 3.0.17 should not be available thru Vulndetect. Am I right?
Regards.

Before updating, I will wait that their main site offers a new version.

I saw that 3.0.17 is available on the site where they have all version but till there is no official release, I consider 3.0.17 as a beta.

A 3.0.17.3 is also available. This suggests some issues with 3.0.17...

Regards.

We can tell that a lot of users started getting 3.0.17 via auto update or other update mechanism, and 3.0.17 is also available from the general download website.

We have seen no indication that it has been pulled. But I agree that it is odd that the main download hasn't been updated yet.
