But the displayed version number in the app is <strong>2.39.1</strong> so you should <strong>show the same version number</strong>.<br />
Tell me if you need a screen shot of the Help -&gt; About window.</p>

The reason is that KeePass 2.40 is new and is detected by a Generic Rule, Generic Rules are largely accurate, but subtleties such as version numbers are displayed as is.<br />
Not until we had time to review the new version will we change it to 2.40 as is used on the website and changelogs.<br />
I suppose we should consider to indicate this in a way that is more clear.</p>
<p dir="auto">All unknown versions that are detected by a Generic Rule are automatically added to a list for manual review and approval of a Specific Rule, which will be more accurate.</p>
<p dir="auto">Btw. we've closed for processing of inspections for a few minutes, so don't expect to see new results in the UI before 30 minutes from now (there is a big queue) - and yes, I did add a Specific Rule for KeePass 2.40</p>
