It is also available as a separate download from <a href="https://github.com/AdoptOpenJDK/IcedTea-Web" rel="nofollow ugc">https://github.com/AdoptOpenJDK/IcedTea-Web</a>.</p>
<p dir="auto">The version number can be found in "C:\Program Files\IcedTeaWeb\WebStart\icedtea-web-docs\index.html". It is the first line of text ("IcedTea-Web 1.8.1").</p>
<p dir="auto">Unfortunately, the executables do not contain any version information. Toolbox for VulnDetect says:</p>

No valid Version-Information was found in the file javaws.exe</p>
<p dir="auto">Some applications do not have any Version-Information included, so there is nothing to read.</p>
