[Solved] FreeCommander XE 2018 - Alter Product Name
-
In the list of applications I have the product FreeCommander XE 2018.
At the homepage there is also an older version available: FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740
The year number changes every year!So I recommend that you change the name of the product to FreeCommander XE and move the year to the version number.
Then you have the product FreeCommander XE with following version numbers:
- 2017 Build 740
- 2018 Build 780
- 2018 Build 781
-
I plan to make a new Product Channel for FreeCommander XE 2017, since it is supported in parallel with the 2018.
With regards to recommended builds, then it seems that build 770 is the "stable" build and subsequent builds are beta:
https://freecommander.com/en/downloads/But, this may be different for the 64bit / donor version, and perhaps we need separate Product Channels for the stable donor version and the beta donor version.
And I see no official information about build 781, please send me a link if I missed it.

No, @Tom
Free users get Build 777, Donors get access to newer builds (not beta, stable builds) as bonus.
At the page https://freecommander.com/donors/page/downloads?_lang=en donors can download all available versions in 64 bit.I did not find the word "Beta" at the donors page, but I found it at the official download page.
But this available beta (Build 780) is older than the current donors (Build 783).Build 781 and the newer Build 783 is for donors only.
I can show you the download page by screen sharing (because it is password protected).
So we can Skype. -
@olli_s I've reworked the Rules for FreeCommander. Let me know what you think.

Perfect
Now I see the product FreeCommander XE and the following version numbers:
- 2018 release 770 public
- 2018 release 784 donor
- 2018 release 783 donor
This is the best way how to display the versions.
Thank you, @Tom !
Issue solved!
