[Solved] Flash Player - Bundled Installation
-
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 15.0 and also Adobe Premiere Elements 15.0 installed.
But I did not install any Flash Player manually. The Flash Player is found on my system several times (Windows folder and Chrome folder) but these versions are marked as Secure (all these installations have version 30,0,0,113).
But the Flash Player is also found in the following folders:
- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 15 Organizer\NPSWF32.dll
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\NPSWF32.dll
This versions are Unsafe because the version is very old (10,3,181,22).
But I can not update these installations, they are bundled with Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements.
I really hate, when Adobe is not updating these outdated versions of Flash. -
Yes, but the question is whether there is an attack vector. I don't know these apps, but I suppose that it would have been reported, if someone was aware of a "feasible" vector. But this is the exact same issue as with 7-Zip and other "bundled" apps, we will, at some point, only display this to users like you, who wants to see it.

@Tom I know that it is the same issue like 7-Zip, I just created that topic so you don't forget to handle the bundled Flash Player

We have this topic here: [Work in progress] Hide bundled applications
So I mark this issue here as solved.
