Detection was added some time ago and we improved it today, so more versions will be detected.

@Tom It is detected as 17.6, which is okay for me. In the GUI -> System Information it is displayed as
17.6 Git: 20171114-a9a7a20
at the startup it is shortly displayed as 17.6 Krypton

If you like i can install Kodi v18 "Leia" RC 5.2

@Anselm You are most welcome to install more versions of Kodi, just don't expect them to be shown correctly, before I had time to tinker with the Rules. I will also review that with the Git references, though I think we will stick to the primary version information.

@Tom I fell always free to install new versions, if i need them. And i do not expect that they are shown correctly. This special question was, does it help you, can you need it to gather more information?
