Microsoft 365 Apps - No Longer Bundled
-
I recognized that the Microsoft 365 Apps can no longer be expanded, so I see all included apps (like Excel, Word, etc).
@Tom Why?
-
Microsoft 365 Apps was bundled some days ago.
Yesterday I received an update and now it is no more bundled.
And Microsoft PowerPoint is now listed separate! -
Today I see ALL office products separate
-
-
@Tom Is this intended or a bug?
-
The office apps are now no longer listed separate, there is just one entry shown:
Microsoft 365 Apps (Current Channel)But here the "Bundle" icon is not shown!
@Tom
How is the expected behaviour?
Should there be a "Bundle" icon? -
@Tom Today the Microsoft 365 Apps are No Longer Bundled
This is really strange.....
-
@Tom
Today I just see the entry Microsoft 365 Apps (Current Channel) (not the single office apps), but there is no bundling icon.
How it it supposed to be? -
Today the Office Applications are listed separate again (not bundled):
- Microsoft Access (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Excel (Current Channel)
- Microsoft OneNote (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Outlook (Current Channel)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Publisher (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Word (Current Channel)
@Tom Why is this always changing?
-
@Tom
Can you please tell me:- Why I see for Microsoft 365 Apps sometimes just one entry, sometimes each application included separate?
- Why these applications are not bundled (expandable/collapsible)?
- What the intended behaviour should be
Kind regards!
-
@OLLI_S We actually stopped bundling it a long time ago. When I look at your results, then I see all the 365 Apps.
There are two reasons we stopped bundling it. One is that Microsoft frequently releases unknown builds to a subset of systems, this breaks some logic that we rely upon. The other is that the Suite system doesn't support packages, so in order to support updating 365 Apps, we had to stop using the Suite bundle.
We may change this eventually, but it's not on the roadmap at the moment.
Btw. if some of your 365 Apps disappear, then it may be because you ran into one of those Unknown builds, please ping me directly, next time you only see some of them, then I can verify whether this is the reason.

@Tom said in Microsoft 365 Apps - No Longer Bundled:
Btw. if some of your 365 Apps disappear, then it may be because you ran into one of those Unknown builds,
When I understood this correctly, then I should see:
- Microsoft 365 Apps (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Access (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Excel (Current Channel)
- Microsoft OneNote (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Outlook (Current Channel)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Publisher (Current Channel)
- Microsoft Word (Current Channel)
Currently I can only see:
- Microsoft 365 Apps (Current Channel)

@Tom
The single Apps are now shown, but Microsoft Outlook is NOT shown!
