[Solved] Elite Dangerous - Version not detected after Update to 3.1.2.201
-
Today I installed on my PC an update for Elite Dangerous (new version 3.1.2.201) but VulnDetect does not detect the installed version (version ? is shown)!
Here the information extracted from the EXE file:
File name and path: E:\Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-64\EliteDangerous64.exe Product Name: Elite:Dangerous Internal Name: icon.rc Original Filename: icon.rc File Description: Elite:Dangerous Executable Company: Frontier Developments plc Legal Copyright: © 2014 Frontier Developments plc Legal Trademarks: Comments: File Version: 175080 Product Version: 3.1.2.201 EDHNote:
The version number in the game displays also the text EDH (here 3.1.2.201 EDH is shown).
There are two versions of Elite Dangerous:- Elite Dangerous
- Elite Dangerous Horizons
Horizons must be bought separate (like an DLC) and allows you to land on planets.
If I start the game without Horizons, then the version number 3.1.2.201 ED is shown.
So showing this information is nice to have. -
Display of the correct version has been added. This is a manual process every time a new version is released, this is automatically detected by the system and it is automatically added to our daily internal to-do list.
I will consider how to handle that with ED / EDH.

Version 3.1.2.201 is detected correctly.
Issue solved
