[Solved] Xinorbis - Wrong Version detected after Update to 8.1.13

    Today I installed an update for Xinorbis (new version 8.1.13) but VulnDetect does not detect the installed version correctly (version ? is shown)!
    In the Configuration of VulnDetect I see: Last Inspection 4 minutes ago.


    You also see that the product is called Xinorbis Pro (in the title bar and in the File Description).
    At the website of Xinorbis (http://xinorbis.com/catware.htm) you can read:

    Xinorbis is no longer split in to Free and Paid-for versions: it's all free for everyone!

    So you should also rename it to Xinorbis Pro.

    The version number 8.2.1 is now displayed correctly.

  • @OLLI_S The version should be fixed now. Can you verify that it correctly shows 8.1.14. Xinorbis is one of those were it needs to be done manually based on user feedback, that is why it says "Unknown, please report".

    In the title bar of Xinorbis (not the Help -> About window) you also see the text "Pro".
    So you should also rename it to Xinorbis Pro.

    Currently you show the version number Unknown, please report so please fix this.
    The installed version is 8.1.14

    @OLLI_S I believe we talked about that name before, there is almost no references to Xinorbis Pro, he almost exclusively uses Xinorbis, both in the app and on the site. So the name will not be changed.

    Xinorbis is now detected and version 8.1.13 is shown.
    But you should alter the name to Xinorbis Pro
