Spotify (Windows Store) - No longer detected (Bug)
-
Spotify (Windows Store) was detected in the past but currently it is no longer detected.
Here you can see that Spotify (Windows Store) was detected in the past: https://vulndetect.org/topic/514/added-spotify-windows-store-app-requestNote
When you download the Spotify installer, then you get a small downloader, that installs in Windows 10 by default the Windows Store Version.
The only chance to get the Win32 version is this link: http://download.spotify.com/SpotifyFullSetup.exe
Here the information extracted from the Windows Store EXE file:
File name and path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_1.131.703.0_x86__zpdnekdrzrea0\Spotify.exe Product Name: Spotify Internal Name: Spotify Original Filename: Spotify.exe File Description: Spotify Company: Spotify Ltd Legal Copyright: Copyright (c) 2020, Spotify Ltd Legal Trademarks: Comments: File Version String: 1.1.31.703 File Version: 1.1.31.703 Product Version String: 1.1.31.703 Product Version: 1.1.31.703

At this point we don't detect any Windows Store apps. This may change soon, but before we implement some other changes these apps won't be visible.

Tom, in the past you detected Spotify (Windows Store)!
See: https://vulndetect.org/topic/514/added-spotify-windows-store-app-request -
@OLLI_S Correct, but this was changed until we could improve the detection.

What should we do with this issue?
I suggest we leave it opened until it is working again....
