[Added] Libre Office - App-Request
-
LibreOffice has been added. It has been added as one product, since the vendor doesn't seem to support the individual apps with individual updates.
-
Libre Office (Portable) is installed twice on my PC:
- Version 6.0.4.2 in D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\LibreOfficePortable\App\libreoffice\program\soffice.exe
- Version 5.4.5.1 in D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\LibreOfficePortablePrevious\App\libreoffice\program\soffice.exe
Both versions are detected correctly!
@khfbvfug what are the scan results on your system? -
My Libre Office install did not show up at all on my daily scan just done at the top of the hour C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 5\program\soffice.exe
-
@khfbvfug I believe that it did, but it was (is) probably listed at the top with a state of "Unknown".
We just updated the Rule Set with more details for the "5" releases, so if you have the most recent release, then it should be flagged as "Safe", else it will still be "Unknown" or "Unsafe". -
@tom ANother thing I should mention, is that the LibreOffice 5 is End-of-Life as of 11th June 2018. The rules also reflect this now.

But this information (that LibreOffice 5 is End-of-Life) is not shown in the list of applications yet.
Should it be shown? -
@olli_s I'm afraid that isn't displayed correctly. But I can't verify, since all the End-of-Life apps I have on my test rig, they are also "Unsafe", and that trumps "End-of-Life".
How we display all this, that is part of what will get a major overhaul. And right now we are in between to incompatible stages with the Rules and the UI, so we can't really push changes for it now. Right now a lot of info is added to the Rules, which the UI doesn't support.
-
I added the suggestion New Status "End-Of-Life".
So is this issue here solved? -
@olli_s Yes it is

OK, then I close it
