Secteer Vulndetect AutoUpdate detection
-
Hi,
On one PC I have, 1.0.1.0 version and recommended 1.0.6. When I log on personal.vulndetect.com with the account for this PC, and go to configuration, update ribbon disapear immediately.
I searched the setup with no luck.
So I cannot update to the recommended version.
Regards.

Thank you for reporting that, I shall report that to the developer.
However, if you enable "Allow VulnDetect to update applications", then you can use the "Update" button" in the applications list.
You can also download the latest agent here:

Tom,
Thanks for replying.
I forgot to mention W10 1809 fully patched with edge as browser.
As I has some professional interest to know what is updated I had rather to avoid any automatic update.
When I updated logged in an admin account .exe was locked Code 5: access denied (back translation to english) on agent exe. So I tried with the standard user account with elevation with the same admin account: no problem.
Log confirms that the agent was not updated until I did it thru standard account: version of agent did not change till last try.
As I trust Secteer, I did it thru download then execute.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

When you activate this feature then nothing is updated automatically.
If there are updates available, then you see in the list of apps a button behind the app:
Only when you click this button, then the update for this app (and only this single update) is downloaded and installed.
The installation starts after the next check-in, so checking in via the Toolbox is speeding this up. -
Hi,
This seems fixed. As on the PC corresponding to the email address used to post, today, proposed the update in the configuration page.
Hope this helps.
