[Solved] Cygwin: untracked tracked software :-)
-
Hi,
I was happily surprised to have my version of cygwin seen outdated and a new version proposed.
I was surprised as cygwin is flagged as "untracked".So still untracked? Or untracked tracked?
Regards.

Something like that...
Well, essentially there can be two reasons why we flag something as "Untracked".
One is if we can't find a good reliable way to track the latest versions.
The second is if we can't find a good source of security information.
Looking at this, it seems that it is the lack of security information that caused us to mark it as untracked, but I also just reviewed the latest versions and it is also clear that the version numbers and strings in the files is a tad inconsistent.
And on that note I just fixed the detection of the latest 3.3.4 so it should be correct now.

@tom "sporadic security information" was / is the reason.

@OLLI_S : explained so can be moved to fixed.

@gregalexandre OK, then I mark this issue as solved.
