This increases also the usability and reduces support costs.
If users see why an specific application is excluded.

This could also be used when the user has deactivated some elements, like Show updates of Microsoft Products or Show updates for Portable Applications.

Here you could show a messages like:

Not shown because you have deactivated Microsoft products in the Configuration (the link to the configuration increases the usability) Not shown because bundled to NVIDIA GeForce Experience Not shown because detection of games is not fully implemented yet

Currently some Gaming Clients are detected by VulnDetect, like:

Also some Games are detected by VulnDetect, like:

Missing Games and Gaming Clients can be requested in the App-Requests section in the forums.

Updates for drivers is a very important feature!

Where users can go to any app website and download and install a new version, for drivers this is a bit more complicated.
Users have to search for the correct driver (correct hardware, correct OS, correct version like x64 or x32).
Even I have problems doing this (so I don't investigate the time) and I would estimate my skills to quiet well.

Next driver updates increase the stability of the system, increase the security and also offer new features.

So in my opinion a driver scan is a very important feature!

Now VulnDetect shows in the list of apps available Windows updates.
Here one example from my personal PC:

Great, this feature is very helpful!

IE/Windows, Chrome, Firefox are using different proxy settings. Sometimes the proxy which should be used by browsers restricts the access to the internet (company policy). In this case applications has to use another proxy.
So this feature is useful.

To add some clues:

home / family computers should not be restricted to home / family / student version (professional versions shall be allowed) IP address shall not be a criteria to differentiate computers: it is now quite current to have multi-homed, multi-stacks home computers but you still have NAT for IP V4.
